This 4 Days Murchison Falls national park safari takes you to Uganda’s oldest and largest national park, for wilderness escape, relaxation and quality time with Mother Nature. Murchison falls national park derives its name from the magical Murchison falls, world’s most powerful waterfalls.
You will engage in a game drive at the northern sector, boat cruise to the bottom of the falls and a visit to the top of the falls dotted with a permanent rainbow. You will track mighty chimpanzees in the lush Budongo forest and a Rhino safari at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary in Nakasongola district. The trip starts and ends in Kampala / Entebbe international airport.

Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.
When all is set for the start of the tour, our company representative will gladly come and pick you for the start of the memorable trip. The journey from the capital Kampala to Murchison falls national park lasts for 5-6 hours while watching the active towns, plantations and rolling hills.
There will be a stopover in Nakasongola district for a one-hour rhino trekking experience at Ziwa rhino sanctuary and lunch at Kabalega diners or Masindi town. End the day with joy at the lodge refreshed, with dinner and a night stay.
Day 2: Murchison falls national park – Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise.
After an early morning breakfast meal at the lodge, you will get out for a rewarding 3-4 hours’ game drive in the northern bank of the park, an area spanning with savannah grasslands. The northern section is where most game drives take place and it has captivating landscape, profusion of flora and fauna and birdlife.
The game drive time presents a chance of encountering both prey and predators doing their hunting routine. Some of the residents include; cape buffaloes, warthogs, giraffes, lions, leopards, hippos, elephants, hyenas, Jackson’s hartebeests and so much more. You will thereafter return to the lodge for lunch and refreshments.
The afternoon session has one unforgettable experience – boat cruise to the bottom of world’s most powerful waterfalls – Murchison Falls. The ride is very interesting and lasts for roughly two hours, characterized by magical sights and sounds of Nile waters and aquatic mammals such as the Nile crocodiles and hippos, birds and the thundering falls squeezing through a 7-meter narrow gorge. Take photos and drive to top of the falls, before returning to the lodge for a sunset dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking in Budongo forest.
Following a yummy breakfast meal at the lodge, drive to Budongo forest in the southern part of the park for a chimpanzee trekking adventure. The trek commences with warm welcome and briefing session by the guides, who will explain about chimpanzees, trekking rules and the jungle.
Budongo forest is one of the chimpanzee trekking destinations in Uganda, filled with variety of mahogany trees, birds and other primates. Trekking these chimpanzees lasts for roughly 2-5 hours through the tree shades and bushes, deep in the jungle, plus an additional hour for taking photos and observations.
After chimpanzee trekking exercise, you will return to the lodge for lunch and then spend the rest of the evening relaxing at the lodge or exploring the forest, its primate, butterflies, trees and bird residents.
Day 4: Departure.
After an early morning breakfast, the journey to capital city – Kampala begins. But you have an option of undertaking a sunrise game drive around the northern sector. Upon arrival in Kampala city, there will be lunch before a simple city tour if time allows and then a drop off at the airport or any other interesting point.
