3 Days Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Safari
This 3 days trip to Queen Elizabeth National Park introduces visitors to part of the 95 mammal species, birds and spectacular landscape of one of Uganda’s spectacular savannah National Parks. Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of the most popular Parks in the country and was gazetted in 1952 as Kazinga National Park but gained its current name after the Royal visit of Queen Elizabeth II of England. It is the only place in Uganda where the tree-climbing lions can be encountered in addition to several riveting activities such as hot air balloon tours and experiential tours.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Leave Kampala (the Capital City of Uganda) for Queen Elizabeth National Park
On this day we leave Kampala for Queen Elizabeth National Park in the western side of Uganda where your dream of relishing beautiful landscapes, majority of African game and unique bird species will come true. This 6-7 hours’ journey involves passing agricultural fields, seeing Ankole long-horned cattle, stalls of fresh fruits and roadside barbeque points. Make a stop at the Uganda Equator monument where you get a chance of standing on southern and northern hemispheres at the same time then at Igongo Cultural Center for Lunch and cultural experience. Dine and slumber at one of the spectacular Safari Lodges in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Day 2: Game drives along the northern plains and Boat cruise on Kazinga Channel
On this day you will experience what Queen Elizabeth National Park offers in form of game drives through the northern plains as well as boat cruises on Kazinga Channel. The first activity is game viewing that comes after your delicious breakfast where predators such as leopards, lions and others as well as grazers-bushbucks, Uganda Kobs, warthogs, Topis, bushbucks and many others will be spotted onboard open safari vehicle. Get back to the Lodge for Lunch and in the afternoon enjoy a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel, water body that connects Lakes Edward and George with photography and observation moments lasting up to 2 hours.
Day 3: Leave for Kampala City
Our 3 days Queen Elizabeth NP Safari ends on this day but the fresh memories will linger in your mind. After breakfast, leave for the Capital for en-route Lunch and arrive your booked Hotel or Airport by late afternoon.
